Day 1: I am unlovable.

We all have had moments of feeling unloved and not cared for. Perhaps you feel there is something wrong with you or that certain aspects make you not worthy of love. While you may feel unlovable in the moment, this feeling and belief is not truth. In the New Testament, the Greek word "ἀγαπητός" (agapētos) is used, which can be translated as "beloved" or "dearly loved." This term is often used to describe individuals who are cherished or deeply loved by God or by others.

Colossians 3:12 starts with "...God chose you to be the Holy people He loves...". In some versions, it is written “people He dearly loves". The Greek word for "dearly loves" is "ἠγαπημένοι" (agapēmenoi).   "ἠγαπημένοι" conveys the idea of being loved dearly or deeply. The truth is you are loveable. In fact, YOU ARE CHERISHED, ADORED, AND DEEPLY LOVED BY YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER. There is nothing that you can do to make God love you any more or any less. He calls you “beloved”. As you spend time with God today, focus on this truth and allow the Holy Spirit to saturate you with His love.

Dear God, I pray that you realign our feelings to the truth that you love us. I release the tangible, deep, affectionate love of God upon your people. May the cross be a powerful reminder of your incredible love for them and that they are your beloved. Amen.
