Does it ever seem like everyone floats through life? They have what they need right at their fingertips while you struggle to even move an inch forward. It might seem you do not have the resources, money, connections, training, and other things to fulfill the dream God has placed in your heart.
The little boy was used by Jesus to feed 5000 people with his basket of 5 loaves and 2 fishes AND there were 12 baskets left over when all was said and done. Don’t underestimate what you have in your hand.
In 2 Kings 4:2-4, 7, we learn about a widow. “Elisha said to her, “What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your woman servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.” Then he said, “Go around and get jars from all your neighbors. Get empty jars, many of them. Then go in and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour the oil into all these jars, and set aside each one that is full. . . And he said, “Go and sell the oil and pay what you owe. You and your sons can live on the rest.” What seemed like nothing was used to pay off her debt and provide for her future.
Consider what resides within your home. What purpose does the Lord assign to each item? Maybe it's not about accumulating possessions, but about discerning the value of what you already possess and how the Lord intends to utilize it. Engage in prayer and seek divine guidance on how to employ the resources you currently have.
Dear God, open my eyes to see what you already see. May I understand what it is that I have and be obedient to what you have called me to do. Amen.
