Do you ever find yourself feeling like you're constantly messing up? Like nothing you do seems to turn out right? It's natural to look around and see friends and family moving forward, excelling in their endeavors, and wonder, "What's wrong with me?" I've wrestled with those same doubts myself.
But here's a truth I learned long ago: failure is intricately tied to success. While we often view them as opposites, failure is actually a crucial part of the journey toward achieving our goals. The real opposite of success is quitting. Isn't that exactly what the enemy wants? To throw obstacles in our path, to taunt us with our mistakes?
We need to embrace failure as a natural part of the journey. Yes, we pray for the Lord to intervene on our behalf. But sometimes, those things that seem like "failures" may actually be the very things we need to reposition ourselves and realign with God's will and purpose. It's through these perceived failures that He often brings forth new revelation, sparking fresh ideas or visions in our hearts. Failure, far from being a negative thing, can actually be a catalyst for growth and transformation.
Proverbs 24:16 says, “for though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, . . .”
“Jeremiah, say to the people, ‘This is what the LORD says: “When people fall down, don’t they get up again? When they discover they’re on the wrong road, don’t they turn back?” Jeremiah 8:4
Failure is inevitable, but so is resilience. You will stumble, but you will also rise again. As you listen for the Lord's voice, He will guide you, redirecting you when you veer off course. Keep pressing forward. Don't lose heart. The Lord will be your compass, guiding you back on the path towards His purpose for you.
Dear God, I am hurting and overwhelmed. I don’t always know what to do and I seek you in this moment. I pray for deeper revelation and guidance. Please show me the way. Correct me if I am wrong. Tell me where I need to go and what I need to do. I repent for not always listening and believing you, but in this moment, I turn my eyes towards you. Speak Lord, for I am listening. Amen.
