Day 7: I’ve missed my calling.

As flawed humans, we often miss opportunities—whether due to fear or our failure to heed the Lord's guidance. The reality is, we can veer off course from God's intended path for our lives. When we neglect to immerse ourselves in His Word, we're prone to making uninformed decisions. Yet, despite our shortcomings, the Lord is merciful. He desires to realign us with His will and purpose. On the other hand, the Lord is merciful. He wants us to be realigned to His will and purpose.

James 1:5-6 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting…” The Lord is generous in giving us the insight and knowledge we need. All we have to do is ask.

Proverbs 15:22 says, ““Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Cultivating strong Christian mentors is essential for receiving guidance aligned with Biblical standards and expectations. Some decisions can be incredibly challenging to navigate. Seek the Lord for guidance and then consult prophetic counsel. As you finalize your decision, ask yourself: Does this honor God? Am I contributing to building His kingdom? Will my pursuits bring glory to God or simply serve my own interests? Sometimes, the answers we receive may conflict with worldly standards, but they are in line with kingdom principles. It may seem unconventional for the Lord to prompt you to give beyond the 10% tithe or to pray for someone who has wronged you. While we may not always understand God's reasons, our role is to obey His prompting and direction faithfully.

Dear God, We pray that You bring us clarity as You are not the author of confusion. We pray for divine guidance and wisdom for all of us as we navigate our way through life. May we always seek to honor you and serve your people well. Thank you for giving us the right strategies at the right time. Amen.
